NATIONAL COFFEE DAY!

If you haven't heard by now, today is National Coffee day! What an awesome day, better even that free Slurpee day. If you missed the free coffee at 7-11 today, worry not. Krispy Kreme is giving a free 12oz House blend all day long! Yay! Go get your free coffee because darn it, it's FREE COFFEE!!!

Would you follow me for...

I was thinking that maybe I'll do a Starbucks Via giveaway. I picked up a 12 pack of Colombian Via and I am hoping that fellow coffee lovers (let's face it, addicts) will follow my blog for some yummy yummy coffee. I'm not quite sure however how I will do this giveaway. I certainly don't want to do another giveaway with depressing results. Shall I do a giveaway that ens when I get X amount of followers or X amount of Facebook likes? If I do the followers type instead of the ending date type, I'll be realistic, maybe 50 followers (39 more than I have now) or 75...
Why am I so obsessed with getting followers you ask? Well, I guess I just feel like I am writing this blog for no one. I am grateful for the few who do read my blog. It gives me a glimmer of hope that maybe I may interest someone besides myself. But anyway, what do you think about a Via giveaway? And do you think it's reasonable to end a giveaway with a certain amount of followers or is that selfish? I just want to be heard :-)

Well, this bites

I've gotten very very few entries for my giveaway. Sad. I mean, it's free stuff. There are so few entries that it's discouraging. Does my blog suck this much? And the prize is awesome. My Memoes Suite Software is great and I had such fun creating with my photos. So, what gives? I've submitted my giveaway on about a bajillion linky lists, on online-sweepstakes.com, on prizey.net... Everywhere. I thought entry was relatively easy. Just follow me on gfc and then there are a bunch of extra entries. What did I do wrong? I need advice!

I'm lost without my phone!

My poor poor iphone. The charging dock is completely obliterated. I am not exaggerating, every one of the little pins that once stood in a straight line through the middle of my charging port are smashed, bent, flattened and pulverized. That's what I get for letting the little boys play with it.
I want to cry. I have no way to charge my phone. So, I am phoneless for however long it takes to order parts and for my husband to watch a youtube video so he can learn to fix it. It doesn't look too complicated but certainly tedious and delicate. I found parts and tools online and I have ordered them. So, I am hoping I will be only a week without a phone. I feel disconnected (pun intended) from the world. I also do not currently have a house phone, so internet is my only means of connecting with my husband and those I babysit for. A pain in the behind for sure. A whole week without the world at my fingertips. If I wasn't feeling so ill I would go take a walk and forget about my grief.
Once upon a time, I didn't even have a cellphone. I actually lived without one. I didn't "need" one. But now, I am spoiled. Maybe this is a good thing. I have become to dependent on my phone. Many many others do not have a phone, and they are fine. I will survive. There's no real reason I should be feeling distraught. It will make for a boring break at work for sure. I look forward to a brief escape from my work day. But really that's the worst of it. Plus, no texting. None of this is a big deal. It's silly really. I just have to get over it. I don't "need" my phone at all. I still miss it.
Phones nowadays make things too easy for us. I miss my apps. I can just click into anything I need to do with an app. I track my babysitting hours and who has paid, needs to pay and what they owe in my notes app. It's hard to keep it all straight in your head. I use the craigslist app to sell my things and I can review everything I listed. I have a billion photos of my kids on there, since I primarily use the phone camera for pics. Checking email is so much easier on my phone plus I can view multiple boxes at once. I miss my easy ebay app, my games, my calculator, my water intake app. Wow, I'm spoiled. Like I said maybe I need this little reality check.
Anyone else out there as reliant on their phone as I am? I can't be the only one.... could i ?

Motherhood equals tired

Everyone knows that when you have a baby, you can expect to lose a lot of sleep. That whole sleep when the baby sleeps thing is only good for your first child. But here's the thing no one really tells you, your probably never going to sleep much from then on. From the first cries of your precious bundle until your last child gets married. Well at least I hope that by the time Juju is married he'll be out of my bed.
After babyhood comes toddlerhood. At that time you may be able to catch up from the last 14 months of sleep deprivation but your probably going to want to catch up on all those things that are impossible to do with a busy toddler reeking havoc all day. Like... Shower. Or you might want to just bask in the silence.
Around 2-3 kids ditch the nap and you ditch any hope of a quiet minute to yourself. But darn it your little genius is just learning so much and truth be told you just know he's smarter than any other kid his age is or ever was. So, you let the no nap thing slide.
By the time your kids start school you know you'll be up early every day getting them out on time for the bus. Then there's field trips, after school activities, forgetting about projects until the last minute, missing the bus and having to drive them to school... Maybe that's just my kids, lol. Even my oldest who is in high school needs rides here and there early and late. I vaguely remember what it's like not to be tired. And time for myself? This is it. This is my only "me time" and sometime it takes many many fleeting moments to complete a post like this. I'd rather be napping (just kidding).
I just want to know, will I ever get to rest? I'm guessing I'll sleep off the first three months of my retirement.

Boogie Wipes buy 1 get 1 50% off!

Right now at Diapers.com they are offering Buy 1 get 1 half off of the 120ct canisters of Boogie Wipes with the code BOOG50. They are a great deal at $9.99 each and with the coupon code you get 2 for $14.99! My personal favorite is the Grape Scent but they also have unscented in that size as well.
I am a huge fan of Boogie Wipes, I buy them year round. They are perfect for crusty noses especially if you have one of those face cleanliness haters like my guy. Boogie Wipes get the crusties off quickly and painlessly making it less traumatic for little ones who already feel iky.

Hurry over and get your Boogie Wipes canisters!

Bil Jac Two Bowl challenge

My chihuahua Quico is ridiculously picky. He will only eat certain food (though he prefers people food, the spoiled little brat!) and dry food has to be moistened. The other issue is that for some reason he will only eat if he is alone. He is a very nervous and anxious dog. I don't know why he has these hang ups but he does, and it's making the two bowl challenge very difficult.
The Two Bowl Challenge is where you give your dog a choice of a bowl of his regular current food next to a bowl of Bill Jac's super premium dog food and see which one he chooses. There's no need for any transition time since Bil Jac is made with real chicken and no fillers are added. We chose the "Small Breed Select" which is the Chicken, oatmeal and yam formula. Dud you know that 4lbs of chicken go into a 6pm bag?! That is pretty impressive.
Well, I did this first video hoping Quico would lose his inhibitions when he saw/smelled the new food. Pretty much a fail. Not for Bil Jac but for me and my video. It's kind of funny and maybe a little sad but take a look...

Thanks Quico, way to make ne look like a fool, haha.
BUT I tiptoed away and a few minutes later I snuck back and took this video:

So, he actually did choose the Bil Jac. Yay! I guess that's a score for Bil Jac. Now if they can just cure him of his weird eating anxiety it would be perfect! I am very impressed with this good so far. They even include a guarantee that if you don't "see the difference in the way your dog looks and feels on Bill Jac" meaning in the coat, the energy level and muscle tone they will give you your money back. I can't wait to see the changes in my little Quico!

I am a member of BzzAgent and received a free bag of Bil Jac dog food to review and give my 100% honest opinion of. I was not compensated in any way for this post.
